May is Military Appreciation Month

May is a month for us all to honor and recognize the contributions and sacrifices of the men and women that have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Our industry is driven by many amazing Veterans and we cannot overlook their importance for both the freedom of our country and the contributions they make towards keeping our industry professional and respected. We are incredibly grateful for all members of our U.S. Armed Forces, both active and retired, and aim to ensure this message is held consistently through all months of the year. Thank you to all members of the U.S. Armed forces!

Summer Driving Coming in Hot!
Summer months are rapidly approaching, which typically means an increase in road construction sites along our daily routes! Look at the DOT website for each state you’ll be driving through. If you find areas under construction, trip plan so you aren’t driving through them during rush hour, or find a new route if possible. We want all our drivers to enjoy a safe and successful season ahead and look forward to working with all of you to help make it happen! Our driver’s safety and success mean the world to us and we are always here to support them in anything they need to ensure that every load is a safe one!

Keep it Green
One of the perks that comes with driving for Long Haul is that you represent a company that’s known for having an elite safety record! Having great safety scores means that we get the green light often which keeps our drivers moving and able to get on to their next loads quickly. It is with this benefit in mind that we would like to remind all our drivers the importance of continuing to do the little things right while out on the roads. Never overlook the importance of a thorough pre and post trip examination of your tractor and trailer to ensure every piece of equipment is operating correctly. We always want to be known as the company that sweats the small stuff and takes pride in driving as efficient and safely as possible!
