Million Mile Milestones!
Thursday, April 28th, 2022, was a special day for Long Haul Trucking and our industry as it brought the opportunity to recognize and thank seven professional truck drivers who all surpassed safe driving milestones in the year 2021. Being able to celebrate these accomplishments is an amazing feat, and something few drivers can enjoy. Our industry currently sees few drivers who ever reach one million miles of safe driving, making it more important to recognize and applaud those who do! Surpassing the million mile mark was Long Haul teammates; Dana Drinkman, Jason Jenkins, John Sprott, Tim Uhde, and Billy Haussmann, while Long Haul drivers Harry Rybacki and Ralph Donnay are surpassing the two million mile mark, unbelievable! These drivers’ tenures with Long Haul span from a range of 10 to 21 years and combine for a total of 115 years of safe driving with Long Haul!
RoadCheck Coming Up!
We are just under a month away from International Roadcheck, scheduled to be held May 17-19, 2022. This year’s Roadcheck will be focused on wheel ends including the wheels, rims, and hub tires. Wheel ends play a major role in our ability to stabilize and control heavy loads on the roadways and it is important that we keep them in good shape. We will be rewarding all drivers that receive a clean inspection of any level with a $100 gift card in addition to the normal incentive. One of the best ways to ensure our drivers stay ahead of the game during RoadCheck is a thorough pre trip and post trip inspection. These are tasks that should be executed on a regular basis as they play a major role in our ability to stay on top of any potential equipment issues. For over 35 years, Long Haul has been proud of having a reputation built on operating a fleet composed of the most professional, clean-cut drivers in the industry. As we look to the future, it is important for us to keep this image intact by attracting the next generation of professional drivers. To help springboard this effort we are relying on our drivers, those that uphold our image daily, to do some work. Effective today through the end of June, we are increasing our driver referral pay to $2500 per driver, while also increasing our orientation pay to $2500 as well. Long Haul always has and will be a company driven by the best truckers in the industry, something we will never compromise, and we need our drivers help to continue to bring them here!
