CVSA Roadcheck Scheduled for This Week!

Attention All Teammates! CVSA Roadcheck is scheduled to take place this coming week and we want to make sure everyone is in a position for success! Roadcheck 2021 will be held May 4-6, 2021. It has been announced that this will be the biggest enforcement event in history with over 17 vehicles being inspected every minute. The focus this year will be on Hours of Service (including form and manner) and lighting. Safety has emailed a flyer with more detailed information along with a letter with some reminders on how to transmit your logs and information on how to handle unidentified driving. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call safety asap in order to ensure that it is a successful week for you! Long Haul will be awarding a $100 gift card to all drivers who receive a clean inspection (any level) during this year’s Roadcheck. The New Brunswick Permit, Roadcheck flyer and letter were also mailed to your home address with a copy of the insurance card. These are also available at Club94. If you would like any of this information faxed to you, please contact anyone in Safety.

Driver Referral Bonus Available!

Quick reminder to all LHT teammates that we are currently offering a no strings attached $2,000 referral bonus to anyone that brings a new driver aboard our team. In the event that you refer a driver that applies, is qualified and completes orientation, you will automatically earn yourself $2,000. Our goal is to ensure that we are always attracting the most professional, top tier drivers to come join our fleet, and there is no source better at finding and referring these individuals than the great individuals that currently represent our company!

Road Construction Season!

If you’ve driven past Long Haul or been on any MN highways/freeways lately, then you’re likely aware that road construction season is in full swing both within Minnesota and around the country. It is so important that while you are driving to be extra safe and aware while in these zones due to the fact that many will cause you to experience reduced width in lanes and many quick turns or sharp corners while driving. Our driver’s safety, along with everyone they share the roads with, are priority number one and we encourage all of our drivers to continue practicing safe driving habits in order to ensure a successful summer for all!

THE BOTTOM LINE
We Reward our Drivers Safe Driving Habits!

The bottom line is that with our clients being as busy as they are, and business growing ever forward, we need as many of our drivers working as possible! Part of the way to ensure this is a reality is by remaining diligent on conducting proper and thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections while out on the roads. Inspecting our own equipment on a regular basis is critical to make sure that any small mechanical issues that could put us out of service are found and corrected before doing so. We want to see each of our drivers staying busy, servicing our customers and making money. One of the best ways to ensure this happens without any delays is by staying on top of our pre-trip and post-trip inspections while out on the roads!

Three Keys for the Month
1) CVSA Roadcheck is set for this week! Stay ahead of the game by ensuring your equipment is in perfect shape and that all of your paperwork is in order.
2) Keep an eye out for road construction zones and practice safe driving habits every time you enter one.
3) Pre-trip and post-trip inspections are two major practices that can help us ensure every load is a success!
