Premier 94 Offers Welding Class for Mechanics and Techs

Operating top tier equipment is something that Long Haul Trucking has been known to do since opening our doors over 35 years ago. Maintaining this equipment however is equally important, and something that the team in our companies’ shop, Premier 94, is tasked with every day. As truck and trailer technology continues to evolve, part of our focus is on providing educational opportunities for our staff of diesel mechanics and technicians to attend. By providing these types of trainings, we hope it will help our shop team become as knowledgeable on their craft as possible. During the month of November, Premier 94 and Anoka Ramsey Community College partnered in hosting a welding course for our shop employees. This course offered them additional knowledge in how to be the most effective welder possible when working on the equipment our fleet operates.

Five Flashiest Fleets!

For the second consecutive year, Long Haul Trucking was feature by CCJ Magazine as one of the Five Flashiest Fleets on the road! Striving to have the highest quality of equipment, drivers and office professionals is something that our team at LHT is focused on daily and we are truly honored to have our fleet recognized as one of the top five of all the trucking companies competing! **Important reminder to all LH drivers and employees!**
Long Haul is still offering our referral bonus of $2,000 for any professional, qualified drivers that you refer to join our team! What better way is there to earn some extra cash for holiday spending than to refer a driver to a great job at Long Haul Trucking! Thank you to all of those who have participated in the driver referral program so far and for the positive impact you played in helping us add high quality drivers onto our fleet in 2021!

Permit Book Updates!

It is permit book renewal season again and this year we are focused on seeing as many of you in person as possible! All drivers are asked to come into our Albertville office before December 31, 2021 to get their permit book updated and sign the required annual forms and contracts. Smith Systems Refresher Training will also be a part of this year’s process. Please stop by and see any member of the Safety Department at your earliest convenience to get your permit book updated. Please plan on spending a few hours with us once you schedule a time to come see us! Lastly, don’t forget the safety office and drivers’ room are now location on the first floor of the Apex building in suite 106!

The Bottom Line

As we head into December with colder temperatures soon, we would like to suggest that all our drivers consider the usage of fuel additivies to prevent gelling up. Fuel additivies, fuel filters, and a close eye on the weather forecast can help play major roles in how successful of a winter we have. This is especially important to consider when you fuel in a southern state and may be northern bound, as many fuel stops in the south do not mix any additives in with their diesel fuel. Thank you to all our drivers for your great work this year, let’s keep rolling strong for the next two months and finish 2021 on the best note possible!
