Driver Referral Bonuses are Back!

Thanks to all of the great work done by our team of drivers we remain incredibly busy and in high demand by our customers!  As we continue to see an increase of freight options and load opportunities, we need more great drivers like YOU to help us keep our book of business satisfied.  We are excited to announce another driver referral bonus plan valued at $1,000 over the course of a year.   We are incredibly proud of the team that we have on the road way and realize that our drivers are the best source of recruiting more folks to haul for LHT!  If you know, or meet a driver out on the roadway that is as professional and reliable as you are, we encourage you to help make them a part of our team!  If you refer a company driver that signs on at LHT, you will receive $250 after their first quarter of driving at Long Haul is complete.  Additionally, you will receive another 250 for each quarter that driver remains with the company for their first year of work adding up to a potential $1,000 in bonuses!  Let’s make this another great year for LHT by keeping our customers happy, trucks moving, and drivers making money!  Thank you all in advance for your help in continuing to bring high quality drivers and people into the Long Haul Family!

Driver Appreciation Week!

Driver Appreciation week is a great time of the year for us to say thank you to each of our talented teammates out on the road and spend some time together!  This year the dates for DAW week are September 11th-15th and we hope to see many of our outstanding fleet members around corporate headquarters to celebrate.  Similar to last years DAW, we will be hosting several competitions that allow you to test your trucking abilities while also competing for some great prizes!  This year, we will be hosting competitions in the following events: Load securement, pre-trip inspections, tire chain challenge, back up contest, clean cab contest, best truck picture and best on the road fitness plan.  Along with these events we will also have lunch prepared daily for all drivers that come through the office as a small thank you for the outstanding work each of you do on a daily basis!

Dunks for a Dollar!

This year at Driver Appreciation week, we will be hosting the first ever Long Haul Dunk Tank Extravaganza. On Friday, September 15th Long Haul will be bringing a dunk tank to our corporate campus and allowing drivers and office personnel to nominate fellow team members that they want to see dunked!  Every driver and staff member is allowed to nominate 3 people that they would like to see enter the tank, at which point we will tally up all the nominations and inform the highest vote recipients accordingly so they are prepared for the big day.  Once our nominees begin entering the tank, we will be selling throws for $1 dollar a piece with all collected proceeds going towards our winter holiday toy drive.  This is a great opportunity for us to spend some fun times together as a team, while also collecting money for a good cause!  Please email your nominations in to Anthonyb@longhaultrucking.test and JessicaH@longhaultrucking.test so we may count them accordingly.

Three Keys for the Month

  • Driver Referral bonuses are back and a great way for us to continue the organic growth of LHT while remaining loyal to the principle of hiring only the highest quality of driver, like you!
  • DAW week is sure to be an excellent event for us to connect with our teammates on the road and make some great memories as a team! Don’t forget to email in your nominations for the dunk tank to Anthony and Jessica.
  • Following distance is a critical safety practice for us to follow in order to ensure we are staying free of citations, violations and accidents! With fall season rapidly approaching,  it’s important to be aware of potentially cold and wet road conditions.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Monthly tips to help keep our money in our wallets, not paying fines.

Our wheels are running hard into September after a great summer and we can’t say thank you enough to every individual teammate playing a critical role in making this happen.  With September now in our headlights and a transition to the fall season rapidly approaching, we can anticipate to see colder weather and wet roads again more often.  With these weather conditions in mind, it is important for us to remember how critical it is to practice a safe following distance from vehicles ahead of us on the roadway.  Wet, cold temperatures can lead to slick road conditions which is why it’s important to leave plenty of space between the front of our rigs and the traffic we follow.  As a fleet that takes pride in maintaining the BEST looking rides on the road, let’s keep them dent free by being aware of our surroundings and never tailgating the driver in front of us.
