Long Haul Receives 10,000th
Peterbilt 579 Ultraloft. Since Long Haul Trucking hauled our first load, the partnership we have shared with Peterbilt has been a staple of our business. We take Pride in being best in class with everything we do which is why we rely on Peterbilt to continue innovating what we believe to be the best, most reliable trucks on the roads. In October of this year our company was fortunate to be selected to receive the 10,000th model of Petebilt’s 579 Ultraloft, which we did so graciously. Our team feels fortunate to share a close partnership with Peterbilt and appreciates all they do to continue driving innovation, technology and driver comfort to new heights. Like Peterbilt’s commitment to excellence, our company has been focused on becoming the best trucking company since opening our doors. This is done by hiring only the best, most professional and quality drivers, then surrounding them with a high standard of great equipment and a group of office professionals and dispatchers that are hungry for success! Thank you to all our drivers and employee owners for the part that each of you play in giving us a company to be proud of and thank you to Peterbilt for your continued partnership.

Geared Up for Winter Driving!
Winter is officially here and we want to ensure that all of our rock star drivers and clients are able to keep rolling strong all season long! Some of the important items to remember when traveling during months with colder temperatures include adding fuel additives, carrying fuel filters and always having the chains or cables needed on hand to travel the western states. Fuel additives are especially important for anyone planning to travel north of Interstate 80 and can help prevent engines from gelling up which costs both expensive repairs and downtime. Changing your fuel filter can also help keep your engine running well. Lastly, please make sure you have your rig equipped with chains or cables for any travel in western states to help ensure your ride is as safe as possible. Thank you all for your great work, let’s finish 2020 strong!

Last Check Before We Roll
We would like to extend a quick reminder to all our drivers that you are the final gate keeper to ensure load accuracy before hitting the road. Anytime you receive a BOL for a shipment that doesn’t match exactly what you are expecting to pick up, please contact dispatch or a member of the office immediately. Logistics is a fast paced industry and we are always focused on making each sure a load is a success while looking towards the next one, but catching small hiccups with loaders missing pieces of material or mis-marking a BOL can help us prevent a larger issue downstream.

Three Keys for the Month

2) Don’t forget to keep your rig geared up for winter with fuel additives, filers and chains or straps!
3) Don’t forget to double check that what you’ve signed for on your BOL matches exactly what your dispatch shows. If you see a discrepancy, contact dispatch immediately!

THE BOTTOM LINE
We Reward our Drivers Safe Driving Habits!

As we roll into the end of the year and look forward to 2021, there are a couple of items that must be complete in order to ensure that we are all ready to hit the road on the right foot! Permit book renewal time is here and must be completed by December 31st. Everything you need to update your permit book is being mailed to your home address. Detailed instructions are included in the mailing. You have until December 31st to receive your package and update your book. Please let anyone in Safety know if you will not be home to get the package before the end of the year. Along with this, all drivers must also make certain to be registered with the FMCSA Clearing House online. If you require additional information on how to do so, please reach out to a member of safety immediately. Thank you to all of our drivers for your great work this year, let’s keep it rolling!
